Das Jungfraujoch,
oder im englischen einfach „Top of Europe“ ist die höchst gelegene Eisenbahnstation Europas. Der Weg dorthin erfolgt über die „Talstation“ Kleine Scheidegg, welche auf 2000m gelegen ist, hinauf über eine Zahnradbahn auf ca. 3500m Höhe. Die Anreise per Bahn, welche dieses Jahr ihren 100sten Geburtstag feiert, läßt einen Blick auf die Hochalpine Welt ganz ohne Steigeisen und Kletterausrüstung zu. Jungfraujoch,
or in simply English: “Top of Europe” is the highest railway station in Europe. The way to the top is via the „base station“ Kleine Scheidegg, which is situated at 2000m, on a cog railway up to about 3500m altitude. The journey by train, which this year celebrates its 100th birthday, opens a look to the high alpine world entirely without crampons and climbing gear. The photos can be seen in CH2012 album.

Zu Besuch bei einem gut befreundeten Paar, welches gerade mit dem Boot durch die Kanäle schippert. Eine Flussfahrt vorbei an Grachten, Windmühlen und durch Brücken. Das Wetter war wechselhaft, Sonne und Regen in kurzen Abständen. Die Wolkenformationen waren ein Traum. Zum Schluss ging es noch einmal mit dem Rad zurück zum Ausgangspunkt, 42km durch Dauerregen und oft Gegenwind…

Visiting a good couple of friends who just cruises by boat through the canals. A river journey, past canals, windmills and bridges. The weather was unsettled, sun and rain in short intervals. The cloud formations were a dream. Finally I ride back to the starting point with my bike, 42km by continuous rain and opposing wind …
